Your menu bar icon no longer disappears after launch. On some Macs running macOS 26, the icon could vanish a moment after Clip 4 Breakfast started, leaving the history window opening on its own instead. The app was checking whether macOS had really placed its icon, and on certain displays that check was wrong: it decided a perfectly placed icon was missing and removed it. The check now recognises a placed icon on every display, so the icon stays put.

Nothing else changes in this update. Thanks to the user who reported it and helped track it down.

Copies from IntelliJ and other JetBrains IDEs are captured. Text copied inside IntelliJ IDEA was not reaching your clipboard history, while every other app worked. JetBrains and other Java IDEs hand the system a clipboard entry that is filled in only on demand, and Clip 4 Breakfast's isolated capture helper could not read it, so the copy was dropped. The app now reads the text directly when the helper cannot, so the copy is kept.

The fallback is limited to text, so the memory handling for large graphics is unchanged, and it still runs through Safe Paste redaction review. Thanks to the user who reported this; it was reproduced and fixed with a live IntelliJ install.

Plate Screenshot. Press Control-Option-S and click a window. The capture comes back on your clipboard already framed on a designed backdrop, with padding, rounded corners, a soft shadow, and film grain, ready to paste into Slack, a doc, or a post. It is the job people buy a separate screenshot app for, and now it is part of the clipboard manager you already have open.

Ten backdrops, or none of your time. Candy is the default, and Auto samples the colours of the shot itself. Padding, corner radius, shadow strength, and social ratios (1:1, 16:9, 4:5) are all yours to set in Settings, Screenshots.

Your original is never lost. The raw capture and the framed version sit side by side in history, so you can re-plate an old screenshot on a different backdrop at any time. Any image already in your history can be framed with "Add Backdrop."

A region when a window will not do. Press Space during a capture, or start with Control-Option-A, to drag a region instead. Smart crop trims the result down to the object you actually wanted.

Nothing leaves your Mac, and nothing new is asked of it. Every pixel is composited locally, and because macOS runs the capture through its own picker, the app never requests the Screen Recording permission.

Fixed. Copying UTF-16 text could store an invisible byte-order mark at the front of the clip on macOS 14 and 15, which then travelled into every paste.

Meet the OneKapisch Studio. A new Studio tab in Settings lays out the whole day, from first coffee to lights-out, with every OneKapisch app in its place and Clip 4 Breakfast marked "you are here." It also links the free and open-source projects and the writing, so the rest of the studio is one click away.

A clearer Settings tab bar. Each section now shows an icon above its label with a boxed selection and a full-cell click target, so the tabs are easier to read and to hit.

Your Pro shows everywhere. Once a Mac is licensed, "Clip 4 Breakfast Pro" appears across the app: the Settings window title, a Pro badge on every Settings tab, and the command center signature, not only the License page. A trial still reads as a trial, and Free stays Free.

Reach support without leaving the app. Settings, General has a "Questions or feedback?" contact that opens a pre-filled email to support with your version and system details already attached.

Getting Pro is now obvious. Every non-Pro user sees a clear Get Pro path in the command center, and the Settings License tab shows it during a trial, not only on Free. Before, a person on the trial had no in-app way to buy.

Get Pro opens the real checkout. The button now goes straight to the secure Lemon Squeezy checkout.

Once you own it, the app says so. A licensed Mac shows "Clip 4 Breakfast Pro" in the command center and on the License page.

Space previews the selected clip, and now it says so. The selected row shows a small "space Preview" hint, so the Quick Look style preview is easy to discover.

Rich graphics keep their fidelity. Copy a graphic from Illustrator, Photoshop, Preview, or any app that puts a PDF on the clipboard, and paste it back intact into Photoshop, Pages, or anywhere else. Before, a copy from Illustrator was stored as its underlying code and pasted back as text; now the real graphic is preserved, with a plain-text fallback for text fields.

Still light. A graphic's full data lives on disk; only a small thumbnail stays in memory, so a history of large PDFs never grows the app's footprint.

Hide the menu bar icon. A new toggle in Settings, General, hides the icon for a cleaner menu bar. Your shortcut still opens history.

The guide now teaches Keepers and the Paste Stack and starts the trial where their value is explained. Free, Pro Trial, and Pro read the same everywhere. Fixes menu-bar placement on macOS 14 and 15, VoiceOver on clip rows, and input-method composition in search.
